This is the Official Web Site of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Midwest - Pedro Sauer Team in Indepenence, Missouri.

We offer lessons in Gracie (or Brazilian) Jiu-Jitsu from certified instructors through both the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Rickson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Associations.

If you've been looking for quality grappling instruction in the Kansas City area you've found it! If your goal is to attain overall health, self-defense instruction or to persue competition in Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is for you.

The "Gentle Art" was introduced to the United States as Gracie Jiu Jitsu by the Gracie family of Brazil, "Gracie" or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a modern combat system of standing and ground defense techniques utilizing principles of balance and leverage.
