Nestor Bayot is a Blackbelt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and is an accomplished competitor in both Jiu-Jitsu/Submission Grappling & Mixed Martial Arts competitions. Nestor is widely recognized for his technical expertise and effective as an instructor. His understanding of Jiu-Jitsu and MMA is second only to his experience as a competitor.

GJJ Midwest Remembers Steve Hannah

The BJJ world has lost a unique individual in the person of Steve Hannah.
Steve passed away Friday afternoon, January 26, 2007. He was a native of Liberty, Missouri and just 41 years old. He bravely fought a year-long battle with a malignant brain tumor and died peacefully while taking a nap in his own home, in his own bed.
I am honored to have known Steve and given him his Black Belt, he not only deserved it in Jiu-Jitsu but in life. He was an example for us all in his ways. I am sorry for his family , I know they must miss him very much. God Bless.
